That is not to say that metal is not a better choice it is. It can be installed as a new ducting system or integrated into existing ductwork in just minutes. We could get into a long discussion about the relatively low odds of plastic pipe being able to generate a sufficiently strong static discharge to ignite a column of dusty fast moving air inside dust collector piping. All steel construction offers superior rigidity minimizes static discharge and adds strength.

Nordfab dust collector pipe is airtight leak free and resilient against abrasion. Third and most important plastic pipe is non conductive and builds up a static charge as charged. Engineered for performance and durability using heavy gauge steel our round sheet metal ducting is built to withstand the high air pressures and constant abrasion created in dust collection and other material handling applications. Metal is also a more expensive choice.
